Louise Calviou
Chief Executive Officer
Louise Calviou holds a BSc and PhD in Chemistry and had an extensive career in the Chemical Industry across a range of functions in both commodity and specialty chemicals as well as in Energy and Greenhouse Gas reduction projects. Having started her career in R&D, she then worked in marketing, sales, new business development and procurement before moving into senior management roles leading and growing multi-site businesses handling high hazard chemicals.
Marco Dall’Aglio
Chief Financial Officer
Marco holds a master’s degree in economics and is a senior finance leader with 30 years’ experience in the energy, oil&gas and chemicals industry, with global reach and full bottom-line accountability. Prior to Argent, he spent 8 years in the Middle East with one of the largest national energy companies in the region, serving in multiple global group-wide roles, spanning from strategy management, to planning, controlling and tax. In the earlier days of his career, he served in various global energy and oil&gas companies, as a CFO and Board member, successfully achieving business turnarounds, M&A transactions and post-transaction integration, leading the pricing organisation in an FMCG business, designing and implementing various operating models, for the Finance organisation and the business overall. Marco brings to Argent the breadth of experiences of a solid finance professional, with a strong commercial acumen and a value-oriented mentality.
Nicola Dean
Chief People & Transformation Officer
Nicola Dean is a qualified finance professional with extensive experience in the energy sector. Having worked for many years in a multinational oil company, she established her expertise through a wide range of demanding finance roles. Other senior positions in the nuclear industry and the railway have enabled Nicola to demonstrate her transferable leadership skills, including ERP implementations and significant business transformation programmes. Experience in driving change and transformation programmes has generated a passion for building, leading and motivating high performing teams.
Jan Jaap Rodenburg
Group Head of Commercial
Jan Jaap holds a master’s degree in International Business and is a senior sales and trading executive with 15 years’ experience in commodities, spanning across Asia, Europe, and Africa. Prior to Argent he was General Manager Commercial with a large mining company. He intentionally switched to the renewables industry to contribute meaningfully to a more sustainable future. He joined Argent in 2020 heading up the trading desk and holding other various roles before his appointment as Group Head of Commercial in 2021. His in-depth knowledge of commodity markets and passion for developing commercial talents brings to Argent the commercial and leadership edge required for an ambitious and growing company.
Dickon Posnett
Corporate Affairs Director
Dickon works on market development for renewable fuels through regulatory and legislative incentives. In Europe, he is the President of the European Biodiesel Board (EBB), where he chaired the Advanced Biodiesel Committee for 10 years and has been a board member for eight years; and he represents Argent Energy in EWABA, the waste-based biodiesel association, as a board member. In The Netherlands, Dickon works with the biodiesel associations MVO and NVDB, and chairs the NBAA, an alliance of waste-based biodiesel companies. In the UK, he sits on the board of the RTFA, the association for renewable transport fuels. Dickon is responsible for trade defence matters, working directly with DIT in the UK and with the EU Commission through EBB. Dickon became a Chartered Marketer in 2004 and oversees the Marketing functions in Argent.
Joe O’Kane
UK Operations Manager
Joe O’Kane holds a BSc in Chemistry and a master’s degree in Business. Joe has had extensive experience in industry working for many years in multinational chemical companies. Prior to Argent, he held a number of senior site and operational roles leading multifunctional teams demonstrating readily transferrable skills that enable the business changes and improvement programs required to grow the business.
Peter Blokpoel
Amsterdam Site Manager
Peter Blokpoel holds a master’s degree in Chemistry and has more than 25 years’ experience in the chemical industry. He has worked for large multinationals and has extensive experience in the development and production of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). Having started his career in R&D, he moved into leading roles in production sites with dangerous chemicals.
