Glycerine
Crude glycerine generated within the process is currently being utilised as a performance enhancer for anaerobic digestion, improving renewable gas yield. It is also used as an alternative fuel source helping to create renewable electricity. Our ability to recover and re-use reaction reagents leads to improved environmental performance, economic benefits, and the production of a loop process, which benefits to the business in the form of fewer chemicals needing to be purchased and through the production of valuable co-products.
Fertiliser
The biodiesel production process also produces potassium sulphate which is an important ingredient in agriculture fertiliser. This promotes the growth of crops for food and in turn promotes a green circular economy benefiting the environment, the planet and everyone on it.
