Argent Energy, a European producer of sustainable second-generation biodiesel, is undergoing an exciting expansion at the Port of Amsterdam as part of the company’s vision to decarbonise transport worldwide. With production capacity soon to triple, we are recruiting for operators to join our new plant. This is a great opportunity for Operators to be part of this new plant from the start and contribute to a sustainable future.

Job description

As an experienced Process Operator at Argent Energy, you play a crucial role in the global effort to combat climate change by producing second-generation biofuels. Alongside your colleagues, you are responsible for maintaining consistent biodiesel production and ensuring the process runs as efficiently as possible.

Our operators work together closely in a small team of four per shift.

All-round Process Operator

Location: Amsterdam (Westpoort) – 5 shifts

The shift allowance is 30%, and you will work a favourable schedule with four days off afterward:

2 morning shifts
2 afternoon shifts
2 night shifts

The salary can reach up to €4,400 gross per month (incl. shift bonus) based on 34.5 hours per week.

About the job

As an experienced All-round Operator B, you have deep understanding of the production process and can independently resolve minor technical issues. Utlising your process expertise, you conduct process checks on the Process Control System (PCS) from the control room. You prioritize the safety of your colleagues while ensuring the quality ad safety of the production process. Additionally, you manage the timely and accurate supply of raw materials, as well as the removal of semi-finished and finished products. You also share your knowledge with colleagues and actively contribute to improvements in the production process.

About you

You are detail-orientated, team focused, practical, quality conscious, adaptable, and able to handle stress well. You bring the following qualifications:

• An Operator B diploma, or you are currently in the process of obtaining it
• Relevant experience as Operator B, preferably in the chemical industry
• A willingness to work in a 5 shift schedule
