Argent Energy Among First to Use Port of Amsterdam Transition Fund to Cut 10% of Emissions
Argent Energy will be among the first companies in the port to use the Port of Amsterdam’s Transition Fund, helping the site cut emissions and use energy more efficiently.
With the fund’s support, Argent Energy will use residual energy to heat up the tank terminal through an installed hot water circulation system. By replacing natural gas for residual heat, this upgrade is expected to cut around 10% of site emissions – saving more than 2,600 tons of CO₂ per year. The total investment amounts to approximately €1.9 million, of which €300,000 is financed through the Transition Fund.
