Yes, provided consumers use the approved blended fuel that meets EN 590. According to the motor industry trade association: “The Society of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Traders support the use of up to 5 per cent biodiesel meeting agreed quality standards" (e.g. EN 14214 blended in conventional EN 590 diesel fuel). Higher percentage blends are becoming increasingly popular as the sector develops.
