Our research has shown that Argent biodiesel delivers maximum fuel efficiency in a 20 to 30 per cent blend (B20 to B30).

This can generally be used without the need for any vehicle modifications. So it is this sort of blend that we believe offers the best combination of ease of use, carbon reduction and the economic benefits that come from improved miles per gallon.

Operational reliability is, of course, crucial. That’s why we’ve invested heavily in distillation technology. This is unique in the UK and delivers a consistently high level of fuel purity.

That purity means that our fuel avoids the problems with contaminants which can sometimes be found in other biodiesels. Our distilled biodiesel typically has a fraction of the water content of other fuels and so avoids the bacterial problems that can affect their storage tanks.

We make biodiesel consistent with EN 14214, the EU standard for biodiesel, and none leaves our plant without a comprehensive certificate of analysis to show that it has been tested and is compliant.
