Jim Walker, CBE, managing director of Argent Energy, won the Manufacturing and Processing category of the Ernst & Young UK Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2011 announced in London last night ( Monday 3 October 2011.)
He said: “I am delighted that the innovation and vision of our team in harnessing the potential of by-products of other industries to deliver high quality and sustainable biodiesel has been recognised in this way. This category was a very competitive one and it’s a fantastic testament to our team that we’ve won.”
The award judges described Jim as: “an individual who brought an innovative technology to a gap in the market.”
